Upcoming speaking engagements and networking opportunities
I have just returned from speaking at New England School of Law and am thankful to those who stuck around at the end to discuss issues facing recent law school graduates, including newtorking. With respect to cheap but valuable networking opportunities, I was informed this evening that the Massachusetts Bar Assocation will be hosting two holiday events, one December 10, 2008 at the MBA offices in Springfield (4:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.) and the other December 11th, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the MBA offices at 20 West Street, Boston. For more information, including how to RSVP, check out the MBA site. If you are not an MBA member, I urge you to join. If you are not able to do so prior to these events, please tell them that I asked you to attend.
I will be speaking at Suffolk Law School on November 20th from 4:00 – 6:00 as part of our traveling roadshow aimed at advising young lawyers and lawyers-to-be what they should know about the business of law which was not taught in law school. The program will be at held in the faculty dining room, so I hope everyone’s cleared out before we arrive armed with our laptops and releated peripherals. If you are interested in attending, while the Suffolk calendar states the program is limited to Suffolk Law students, please feel free to drop in as my guest.¼/p>
